Fire Trucks!

This morning made me so happy that we live in our neighborhood, it was the perfect morning. We walked to breakfast and then went to a parade (the 2nd parade already this month in Longmont) for the fire department's 100th anniversary.  It was super cute with a bunch of old fashioned fire trucks driving down Main Street ringing their bells and new fire trucks blaring their sirens.  There was a lot of very excited little kids-James included.
During the whole parade James alternated between waving, clapping, and saying, "Hi fire truck!"
After the parade all of the fire trucks were available for the kids to climb on and sit in and some even had their hoses out for kids to help spray.

We still miss a lot about living in the city, but Longmont is definitely growing on us.  I mean, seriously-what other town has multiple parades a month?

It was probably a good thing the parade happened after Zephyr left. The fire truck at the Fourth of July parade (a misuse of the term parade) in our neighborhood let loose with it's siren horn right next to Zephyr and scared her....probably making fire trucks less than her favorite thing now. James seems to be a fan. We'll have to see if we can find a "Rescue Me" lunch box.
