Chloe's Sesame Street Birthday Party
Since I love planning parties and since Chloe's birthday was just a couple of weeks after baby Molly was born, I volunteered to plan Chloe's party for Amberly. Mac's nasty illness kind of ruined things because her party was supposed to be last weekend. I drove up some of her party things and they had friends over last weekend for one party, and then we did it all again on Sunday for the whole family celebration. Tim and I got her the Abby Cadabby dress and wand as her birthday presents. Chloe loved them and looked adorable for her Sesame Street party.
You know I can't resist dressing up the kids in themed outfits, so I made everyone else Sesame Street face shirts for the party.
Baby Molly was Grover, Tay was Cookie Monster, James was Oscar and Mac was Elmo. Mac was madly in love with his shirt and pointed to it saying, "Elmo! Elmo! Elmo!" to anyone who would listen.
I channeled my sister and Anne's craftiness and sewed my first fabric banners for the party! An Abby Cadabby one with Chloe's name she can hang in her room post-party.
Tissue paper pom poms with the character's faces. Thank you Pinterest for the inspiration!
The other banner I sewed-just generic Sesame Street. We are planning on reusing it for Mac's next birthday, assuming the Elmo obsession sticks.
Favor bags-Elmo for the boys and Abby for the girls.
James carried around a gummy worm all day and said it was Slimey-Oscar's pet worm.
Party snacks
Cupcakes for the kids-one of Katie's friends made them for us. They turned out adorable!
Papa getting some snuggles in with his 2 youngest grandkids.
Chloe has more personality and sass than just about anyone I have ever met. We love her so much and hope she loved her birthday party! (at least as much as I loved planning it)

Moustaches and Rashes
We had an awesome weekend planned for this past weekend-dinner with friends, First Friday on Tennyson, a craft show, John's birthday party and Chloe's birthday party. Well, most of that came to a screeching hault when Mac came down with what might be the nastiest case of hand, foot and mouth disease ever. Poor, sweet Macky was in excruciating pain all weekend, couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, couldn't walk. It was awful. Tim was gone all day Saturday and by the time he got home I was about to lose my mind, so James and I did get to sneak away to John's party for a bit. It was a Cinco, Cinco, Cinco (turning 5 on May 5th) Fiesta theme with a healthy dose of moustaches thrown in. James was excited to wear his new moustache shirt for the occasion and we both had a great time. Here are a few pictures of how Mac spent the weekend. First up, drugged up on Motrin and Benadryl at midnight watching Thomas the Train. That was a fun night-he slept a grand total of 3 non-consecutive hours. We had exactly 1 episode of Thomas on DVR and it was the only thing that would stop Mac from screaming. We watched the same episode about 17 times this weekend.
Staying hydrated with multiple juice boxes, Pedialyte boxes and sippy cups. He had never had juice before this weekend, and he is a big fan.I will spare you a picture of his gruesome looking legs, feet and hands, which literally look like he has leprosy. Luckily, he is feeling much better today, but he still looks like a public health hazard. Hopefully his skin clears up soon so people aren't horrified by the sight of him! Having a sick baby is the worst, and I am so glad he is feeling better and that James managed to not get sick!

Sharing a Popsicle (AKA-the post where my sister makes fun of me for dressing the boys in matching outfits)
This is James' all time favorite shirt. He picked it out and calls it his, "Mystery mark shirt." He saw the baby sizes at Nordstrom and asked if Macky could have a "Baby mystery mark shirt." How could I say no to that?
