Christmas Cookies

Lacey hosted a toddler cookies making party yesterday morning.  The kids loved rolling out the dough and using the cookie cutters.
James didn't wait for the cookies to be baked before he started the sampling.
But the serious fun started when we broke out the frosting and sprinkles. Alec and James wasted no time in diving right in.

I would like to point out how nicely and delicately Riley and Drina decorated their cookies.
And then there is the boys who may or may not have gone through multiple tubes of frosting on each plate of cookies.  Look at the tongue sticking out-cookie decorating requires some serious concentration!

It was alll over once James realized he could eat the sprinkles.
Alec thought it looked like a good idea and quickly abandoned his frosting tube.

Is that a cute group of kids, or what? Kids make everything so much more fun during the holidays!  The funny part is we took home the cookies and James never wanted more than a bite of a single cookie. I guess it was more about the process than the product!

That is seriously freakin' adorable! The pic with James sticking out his tongue in concentration melts me.

I decorated cookies with our 8th grade Honor Society kids and I think they were way messier than the toddlers! They thought the gel food coloring was frosting and all ended up with bright blue mouths. Your decorating party looks like tons of fun!
