Mac is 4!

I can't believe that Mac is 4! He is completely obsessed with the color red and since the Flash superhero is red, he has become obsessed with the Flash as well. So, obviously he requested a Flash birthday party. We invited a few of his close friends and family to celebrate with us at the park on the Sunday before his birthday. His only requests were a Flash pinata and a red Flash cake. Easy enough.

 Each kid got about 4 turns at the pinata and then Tim had to go after it with a metal bat and finally a pocket knife before we actually got it broken open. The Mont's pinata shop means business with their pinatas!

 It was a perfect afternoon celebrating our Macky!

 On the morning of Mac's birthday, James was super excited to give him his presents from he and Benny. He got a Flash figure and book (obviously) and his favorite Octonaut figure.

 Ready to head to preschool on his birthday, the light saber stayed at home.

We sent James and Mac on a scavenger hunt for their birthday present from us. We are taking them to Legoland and staying at the Lego Hotel next weekend! We are all so excited!

 Mac picked Red Robin for his birthday dinner and besides being slightly horrified when the wait staff came to sing to him, he quite enjoyed his evening.

Mac finished up celebrating his birthday on Wednesday with his celebration at BellaVita. Tim, Benny and I got to have lunch with him, watch him carry the Earth around the sun 4 times and eat delicious vegan chocolate birthday cake that he made with his friends.

Some things I want to remember about Mac at 4:

• He is the best snuggler in the World. He loves to "nuggle" and give us giant bear hugs where he jumps into our arms and wraps his arms and legs all the way around our bodies. 
• He loves the color red, wearing his baseball hat (even to bed and sometimes into the bath tub), Legos, superheros, being read to (especially Lego City books and Bearenstein Bear books), pretzels, his brothers, and riding his Strider bike.
• He is an amazing brother-to his Bubba (James) and his baby (Benny). He tells Benny about 800 times a day, "Oh Baby, I love you SOOOOO much!" as he gives him a big squeeze.
• He is stubborn, passionate and very opinionated. He often yells, "I am SO ANGRY!" while clenching his fists and stomping off. He quickly gets over it.
• He is still our screamer and crier. Multiple times daily.
• He is so, so silly and loves to make all of us laugh. 

Happy Birthday to our sweet, silly, and often crazy Mac. We all love him so much and he is the perfect middle of our family :)
