Zoo Lights and Other News!

The weather last weekend was amazing, so we took advantage of how warm it was on Sunday and headed down to Zoo Lights. We had gotten free passes with the zoo membership that my parents gave the boys for their birthdays, so it was a great, free and fun holiday outing!

 Mac was enamoured of all the lights, he loved every display and is still talking about it.

The warm weather continued through this week-it's not often you can play outside with no coat in December! The cold is supposed to hit this weekend, and hopefully bring some snow with it!

We watched the first of our holiday movies last night-The Grinch! The boys were very excited and insisted on their Grinch pillows, the stuffed Grinch and Max (and obviously Chip and Dale, who have been connected to James since Disneyland) and popcorn.

The biggest news of this week around here is that Jax is the only Nichols family member still in diapers. I decided to give potty training a go with Mac starting on Monday, and after a completely disasterous first day, he went on to have a pretty successful week. I am very proud (and quite honestly shocked) at how well he has done. He is still having some (pee only) accidents, but making it to the potty the vast majority of the time. I think we are definitely far enough along that we aren't going back to diapers at this point (except for sleeping times). Yay Mac, and really yay me for not having to change anymore diapers!!
