California!

We were way overdue for a visit to California to see Jenny, Ian and Zephyr and we decided that this fall would be the perfect time to make the trip. My parents came out too and we had a great few days spending time together and celebrating my mom's and the boys' birthdays. We typically go to San Diego in the spring when it is cold and dreary, so we were happy to have such wonderful, sunny and warm weather for this visit. We spent time at the beach on 2 different days while we were there. James loves running around in the waves and Mac and Zephyr are content to dig in the sand.

 Jenny made a vegan cake that everyone could enjoy and we celebrated our 3 October birthdays on Saturday night.

 Mac was such a fan of his cake, that this was his reation when he finished eating. To be fair, this is Mac's reaction to almost anything that doesn't go 110% his way, but it was good cake.

Our major highlights of the trip were visits to Legoland, Disneyland and California Adventure, so there will be many, many more pictures to come!
