More Fun in the Mont

We went to Rhythm on the River this morning-Longmont's largest festival. We went last year on it's opening night and were underwhelmed, but our friends the Haley's assured us that there was more fun to be had on Saturday. We met at our house this morning and walked down to where the festival was (which I am now living to regret because I am ginormously pregnant and walking 4 miles in the heat did not agree with me at.all.). There was music, food, vendors, and a ton of things for the kids to play on which were all free. James was loving the bubble tower and the bounce houses.

There was a booth with crafts for kids to do and James and Tim (well really just Tim) built a bug house. James just liked holding the tools.

Navigating the inflatable obstacle course. James was a little too small and not agressive enough so he needed some help from bigger kids once he was in there, but he did a great job and was so proud of himself that he made it all the way through.
James' best friends in the Mont are definitely John and Colin Haley. He adores both of them and their parents Kelly and Seth, which is good because he sees them pretty much everyday that we are in the Mont. The boys get along great and fight even better. They are hilarious to watch together and make me so thankful that we have made such great friends in the Mont (and also pretty thankful that I do not have 3 boys ages 3 and under). Today when we got back from Rhythm on the River the boys each got to pick a carrot from our garden. They were a hit. And notice our new fence in the background, thanks to Seth. :-)

Eating homemade ice cream that we made this week for our "I" letter of the day. The fence on that side of the yard is now finished too. Everyday when James wakes up from his nap he runs to the back door to see if "Steff" is outside building the fence. Seth and Steff are 2 of his favorite people in the Mont and he says their names exactly the same way. I am pretty sure he knows that they are 2 different people though....

Who knew that I would become the Mont's biggest fan when we moved up here 2 years ago? But seriously, it is pretty great.
