Jenny and Zephyr got into town yesterday and are spending a week with us before they head to Durango for their annual trip with Ian's family. We went to the farmer's market this morning (where we gave James his own money to buy whatever he wanted and he chose an apple pie) and since it wasn't too hot out we thought it would be a good day to take the kids to the farm as well. We had been to Sunflower Farm in Longmont once last year and really enjoyed it, so we were excited to share it with Zephyr. Last year James was terrified of feeding the animals and wouldn't even try it, but this year was a whole different ball game. He jumped right in and fed the goats, sheep and llamas.
The farm is kept up really well and there is a ton for the kids to explore. James was a big fan of all of the farming vehicles he could climb on.

There is also a tree house to climb that looks like it should be some kind of liability nightmare, but James was able to navigate it pretty well with Tim's help.

James insisted that he wanted to ride a horse. We were pretty certain that once we waited in line and he got close to one he would lose it and change his mind, but he once again proved us wrong. Between feeding the animals and riding Cinnamon the pony, maybe he isn't as cautious as he used to be!

Sounds like a great day. But where was Zephyr and Jenny while all this fun was going on? I only saw a tiny bit of them.
