Another month has flown by in James' first year. We love watching his personality develop and having him interact with us more and more each day. He is getting more vocal and lets us know when he likes/dislikes by screeching/squaking appropriately. He is smiling and laughing more, but still has his moments of being Mr. Serious and just being a good observer. He is starting to eat more and enjoys meal times more than when he first started solids. He has also started to recognize us more and is showing a preference for me and Tim, although he still loves it when other people hold him and talk to him. When one of us has been away from him and we return, he flaps his arms like a maniac . He loves to roll around and play with toys and gets bored when we don't entertain him enough. We love him so much and are enjoying him being a little baby, because this year is flying by and it is hard to think he won't be a baby for much longer!
Here are the top 8 things to know about James on his 8 month birthday:
1. James loves mango and green beans
2. James has started to babble and makes dadadada noises the most frequently
3. James loves to listen to us sing songs to him and his current favorite is The Grand Old Duke of York (a Book Baby favorite)
4. James love to reach out and grab just about anything-particularly faces, hair, glasses, and jewelry
5. To go along with #4, James loves looking at our rings and tries to grab them off our fingers.
6. One of James absolute favorite things is to drink water out of a glass with our help.
7. James is a rolling maniac and will now roll, roll, roll to get somewhere
8. James likes to give hugs and open mouth kisses

Happy Birthday, James!
Hard to imagine our lives without you as part of family.....
We love you Jamsey! Can't wait to see you in August...and Uncle EE can't wait to hold you. He was waiting to hold his own baby first, but now it's open season. Happy Bday! Love Aunt Jenny, Uncle EE, and Zephyr
