Random Summer Photo Update

I was just going through photos from the past few weeks and found a bunch that were never blogged. I couldn't have that, so here is a random post full of the summer fun we have been having. James loves picking vegetables from the garden, and will eat anything that he has helped to grow which is a plus. Our garden is off to a slow start, but we have gotten some tomatoes and zucchini so far.

An outtake from Cormac's Baptismal Jon Jon photoshoot. A little blurry, which is a bummer because I love this photo of both boys.
Popsicles with best friends-what could be better? This was right after some naked sprinkler time, photos not really appropriate for the internet.
Probably my favorite part of summer is going to concerts in the park. We did a shared picnic dinner with the Haleys for each concert and tried to out-do ourselves with each one. The final concert of the summer was last week and we had amazing kabobs, orzo salad, grilled veggies, fruit trifle, and vodka cherry limeades. We are serious about our picnics.
Seriously people, look at this trifle. Yum.

Our crew at the picnic.

James with John and Riley. What, you don't wear leotards to concerts?
Mac with Kenzie. Kenzie is quite the little foodie and was rather impressed by our spread.
The kids playing with bubbles at the kiddie area during the concert.
A huge perk of summer is James plays so hard during the day that he can almost always be counted on to take an afternoon nap at the same time as Mac. He always insists that he is not tired, but relaxing in his room with the fan on and lights out almost always leads to this....
Totally random, but funny...James running around the house in nothing but a football helmet.
Chloe seriously loves Cormac. Maybe a little too much at times....
Papa Dave with all of his grandkids on his birthday.
A local elementary school has something called "Rope World" during school breaks. The gym is full of ladders, ropes, zip lines, tunnels etc. We went over spring break and James was fairly cautious and hardly tried anything beyond the ladders and tunnels. We went twice last week and James conquered everything in the gym! He climbed up the rope wall, did the zip line and the tight rope bridge. I was so proud of him!

Phew! We have been busy!

You've definitely been busy. And sign me up for a concert in the park anytime - that's my kind of picnic food!
