Cormac has finally turned a corner with eating and at almost 8 months old has finally started to eat some solid foods. He still refuses purees for the most part, but the kid is a pro at self-feeding. James did not get the hang of feeding himself until close to 1, but Macky has it down.

Mac rarely opens his mouth for a spoon, but he will grab it away from you and try to feed himself with it. It makes for messy meal times.

Mac has tried spears of steamed zucchini, broccoli, rice, peas, chunks of banana and carrot sticks. He also loves baby junk food like puffs and mum mums (and thanks to Tim thoroughly enjoyed a cheeto). He actually only probably ingests a few bites of solid food a day, but it is a start. And it is nice to have something to distract him with at meal times so we can eat without holding him in our laps for the first time since he was born.

Happy eating Macky!

Yay Mac, he should come teach Kellen how to do it!
Mac- you are the chubbiest cutest boy I know.
Does that baby ever not smile in pictures? He is so happy and sweet! I love that he feeds himself -- what a big boy!
Cheetos?!? Wow what's next a redbull and a hand full of lead based paint chips?
Seriously, who doesn't love cheetos?
