Concert in the Park

Tonight we went to the first concert in the park of the summer at the park down the street from our house.  It wasn't super warm, but we still enjoyed having a picnic, listening to the Motown band, and watching James run around like crazy. He had a blast.  Mainly playing with his baseball, which has proven to be his most beloved possession of all time.  He has had other fleeting obsessions with a mixing spoon, and a stuffed rabbit among other things, but the baseball obsession has endured over a week now. He takes the thing with him everywhere. Including to bed and to the table while he eats.  It is pretty cute how much he loves that thing. We temporarily misplaced it for one day, and we heard, "Baseball, baseball, baseball," all.day.long. until it was discovered hiding in his bathroom cupboard.  Crisis adverted.  The funny thing is, he also has another baseball but it is not a replacement for this one.  It is, "Dada's baseball," and does not hold the same appeal as this one, which I actually think came from Steve and Amberly via his Easter basket.  Anyway, here are some pictures from tonight.
James played catch with Tim, waved to everyone around us, danced, ran in circles, and generally had a great time.  One thing about Longmont, there sure are a lot of family friendly activities to do.  We will be taking advantage of many of them this summer, I am sure.
