Today James had his 4 month appointment. We had guessed how much we thought he would weigh and Tim guessed exactly right with 12 lbs 5 oz. He is 23 1/2 inches long and his head is 16 3/4 inches. His weight has moved up in the percentiles to 10%, his height is 5%, and his head circumference is 50%. So even though he looks gigantic to us, he is still pretty little compared to other babies his age. Well, except for his head I guess. The pediatrician said that he was absolutely perfect and was doing great with everything. He did say that we needed to work on tummy time some more because his arms aren't very strong, but that is OK. He was pleased to hear that he rolled over last week and that he was smiling and laughing. The next milestones we can expect to see him do are reaching out and grabbing things and using his arms to lift his body up while he is on his tummy. We are really happy with our choice of pediatricians, so hopefully we can continue to take James there when we switch insurances in the summer.

What a cute grin. I love this idea of taking pics each month with a sign...we'll see if I remember to do it!
